"Quick" Bio

After "getting out" of Georgia Tech with a Mechanical Engineering degree in 1994, I spent 2.5 years opening/closing a cafe, teaching tennis, volunteering for the Swedish Olympic Team at the 1996 Olympics, and studying for the MCATs.  With all the buzz around IT, I jumped into a "real" job at Manahattan Associates in 1997 doing supply chain execution software implementations, customer relations, account management, technical sales, and product management for 5+ years during the .com boom years.     

In 2005, I started as a consultant for UTG  to implement company-wide processes and Busines Operating Systems (ConnectWise, QuoteWerks, Quosal, Quickbooks integration), which have all been an important part of UTG scaling and growing sustainably from 6 to 28 employees over 6 years. 

When not focused on the Bridging the People, Process, Technology Gap, I am active with HTM and recently completed the HTM 2011 Ambassador Leadership Program, serve as a co-facilitator for the ConnectWise Southeast User Group and attended HTG Peer Group meetings while still at UTG.   I also volunteer at Clairemont Elementary School and as a YMCA soccer coach.  I was a former Swedish School of Atlanta Board Member and enjoy triathlons when I can squeeze them in. 

I do all this so that I can spend as much time as possible with my wife and two daughters, while they all still like me :-)

Detailed ConnectWise Experience

  • Lead UTG’s Implementation of MS CRM and subsequent conversation to CW in 2006 to address following key needs
    • Scalable OSS (Operational Support System) to centralize all UTG ecosystem (customer, partner, vendor) interactions without requiring UTG to customize the tool
    • Service Ticket and Dispatch Management with template creation, SLA measurement, conditional workflow, single time entry leveraged in multiple places
    • Agreement and Renewal Management with conditional work flow (Service Contracts, Managed Services, Block, Retainer, Manufacturer’s Warranty, Internal)
    • Timely, accurate invoicing across Service and Agreements and integration to QuickBooks
    • Integration commitment and completed to accounting, quoting, and RMM tools
    • Sales Opportunity & Quote Management with workflow
  • CW Admin since initial 2006 implementation
    • Review Future Release Notes
    • Work with Technical team to implement and test new release
    • Answer any internal questions about CW functionality
    • Adopt new functionality & rollout to end users, e.g. Procurement Module and Quosal Integration
